Marty Brodnax

President

Marty oversees the strategic vision, planning, and implementation of Baker’s industrial business line along the gulf coast, including the refining, petro-chem, power, and supporting services marketplace.

Since 1994, Marty has held a variety of leadership positions within the industrial construction market, spanning the areas of operations, project estimation, project management, and business unit leader, focused primarily on the energy sector of industrial construction.

Over the course of his career, Marty has received many certifications and been part of nationally recognized project teams. Marty holds a B.S. in Construction Management and an Executive MBA from Louisiana State University. He currently serves on the Board of multiple non-profit organizations, and enjoys his time away from work with his wife Cheryl, and two boys Jack and Max.

Joey Goscha

Division Manager

Joey Goscha’s primary focus at Baker GCI is to lead project managers and handle daily processes related to administration, business development, estimating and scheduling. He works directly with construction managers to build and set up project teams and crews and is known for producing safe, quality filled jobs in a timely manner.

Joey joined Baker in 2019, but he’s been working in the construction industry since 1995 with the majority of his career in the oil and gas industrial sector. He started his career in survey and has held positions including superintendent, site manager, project manager, site director and operations manager.

Logan Zeferjahn

Director of Safety

Logan Zeferjahn is responsible for managing the safety, risk and compliance associated with projects and company operations at Baker GCI, as well as planning, directing and implementing our safety program promoting an incident and injury free work environment.

Originally from Kansas, Logan traveled to the Gulf Coast area to pursue a career in industrial construction. He joined the Baker family with 13 years of experience in the environment, health and safety field, and he holds the Board of Certified Safety Professionals designation of Safety Management Specialist (SMS). He’s also a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals.

Deep Foundations

Tom Howard

Vice President – Operations

Tom has worked in the industry since 1989. As our Vice President – Operations, Tom oversees all areas of project management and field operations for BGCI’s Deep Foundation service. With a commitment to excellence and a customer-focused approach, his goal is to become the most trusted Deep Foundations contractor in the country.

As a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, Tom earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. Tom and his wife, Nancy, call Baton Rouge, LA, home, and share three daughters and four grandchildren.

Steven Fleury

Division Manager

In his 30 years with the construction industry, Steven has honed his skills for exceeding client expectations. He has delivered countless projects in the industrial, commercial, and federal markets safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Steven has a degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University and has remained heavily involved with the program since graduation. He is active in many industry nonprofits and currently serves on the Board of Directors of LSU’s Construction Industry Advisory Council, the Alliance Safety Council, and the Louisiana Coatings Society. Steven and his wife, Ronlyn, have two children, Aime and Anthony. They enjoy traveling, entertaining, and cheering on the Saints in the Superdome.
