Finding Certainty in Uncertain Times
A letter from Marty Brodnax, President
What can be said about 2020 that hasn’t already been stated, or at least thought? Most sentiments were some version of, “can’t wait for 2021.” I (we), too, have been looking forward to 2021. Yet we still have reason to celebrate a 2020 full of not just challenges, but many wonderful opportunities. There are many reasons I count us on the fortunate side of the ledger.
This year will not be about making up for losses. It will be about taking advantage of all that we have been provided and entrusted with. Uncertainty remains, but our resolve to approach this new year with vigor to reach even higher goals is strong.
BGCI is coming off a historic time in world events. Defining them, both past and future, will go on for a long time. For BGCI, my drive is for its People to be the finest at what they do and how they do it, and to be prepared to do it again—only better. That’s how BGCI will be defined, but only with the support of our co-workers, clients, and project partners will we be able to make this a reality.
Together, we have a chance to be truly special in our industry. People, Honor, Grit. Building Better Structures, Building Better Lives. These are not just values and slogans. They define how BGCI will stand apart, always doing it the right way.
