A Letter from Our President, Marty Brodnax
To everyone impacted by COVID-19,
The past few months have been challenging for us all. The construction industry is blessed to be considered essential and for Baker Gulf Coast our work has not stopped. We have seen some delayed mobilization dates, but are still moving forward and have the talent needed to continue operating at peak performance. Each week our leadership along with other leaders from Baker Construction Enterprises meets in task force fashion to ensure that our projects have the resources they need to succeed in these unprecedented times.
Since March, our team has enhanced our procedures to be even more safety conscious. Like many of you we have been educating our co-workers on the importance of increased hand sanitizing, the use of face coverings, and keeping a safe social distance from one another as much as possible. The safety of our co-workers continues to be a top priority.
While growing as a team we will continue adjusting to the changes that society will face throughout this year. We are confident BGCI will come out of this stronger and more focused than ever.
We appreciate all essential workers especially our healthcare workers, first responders, military, and those working for us to maintain our new normal. Our co-workers play a crucial role in combatting COVID-19, and we are thankful for our co-workers’ endless dedication and grit. We are proud of our collective efforts these past three months and are poised to support the national economy as it rebounds in the coming months.
Marty Brodnax, President
