Business Development and Marketing Coordinator
Meet Madeline, our Business Development and Marketing Coordinator. Madeline joined BGCI as an intern while attending Southeastern Louisiana University. She came on board full time after graduating in May 2021 with a degree in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Sales. A star on the rise, Madeline recently completed ABC Pelican’s Uncommon Leadership program.
Describe your day-to-day duties.
As Business Development & Marketing Coordinator, I work hand in hand with other team members, meeting with current and potential clients, overseeing BGCI’s marketing program, attending networking events, and fulfilling other duties.
What made you stay at BGCI after your internship ended?
The people. They were welcoming from the first day I walked into the office, and you can tell the BGCI team wants each person who walks through our doors to be the best version of themselves. Each co-worker truly wants to see the others succeed. They have always been more than willing to sit down with me, answer any questions I have, explain our capabilities in detail, and offer advice and support when needed. Two-and-a-half years in, and my co-workers have become more like a family.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working in the construction industry?
I love the creative flexibility and the opportunity to grow in my role. I enjoy meeting new people and making connections to make BGCI a leader in the industry. The growth opportunities are limitless, whether in your current or future leadership roles.
What is one word of advice you would give to future co-workers?
Be a sponge, always ready and eager to learn new things. Be prepared to bend or be flexible in life. And never lose sight of what makes you happy and what motivates you.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Baking, spending time with my family, cheering on the LSU Tigers, and working on projects around my new house.
